People @ Wilmot-Budgen

New HR Role

Sarah Davis who currently runs our Accounts Department has successfully passed her CPID Level 3 Foundation Certificate in HR Practise. In a recent interview Sarah stated that “Whilst going back to ‘school’ was daunting, I found that learning a new skill not only benefited me as a person but Wilmot Budgen as well, as we grow together as a company and as individuals.”

Michael Budgen commented “We will continue to rely on outside support, especially the BPIF, but now we have Sarah as a trained HR person, we can be more proactive in dealing with issues earlier which will go a long way in creating a better working environment”

New Account Manager

Corinne Bayram joined us in late March and following a fast track induction, had this to say about her first few months at Wilmot-Budgen:  “Following a professional in-depth introduction to Wilmot-Budgen, it was really great to see the strength of relationships that my colleagues have with their clients. In particular their reliance on our support, our solution finding expertise, our experience and dependability. Having worked with some incredibly organised, patient and knowledgeable individuals with a strong work ethic, it is clear that my colleagues work as individuals within their specialist area but then unify to become part of a team, as the projects develops and reaches finished product status. Everywhere you look it is evident that putting the needs of the client first is a true reflection of the company’s corporate culture”

Corinne concluded by saying, “It has been a whirlwind few months where we have acquired a sub-contractor, won a new account, procured a new ink jet print machine and implemented a new live print schedule system! So it is fair to say that “the future is bright…the future is Wilmot-Budgen!!’’

Successful apprenticeship completed

Congratulations to Matt Savill for recently completing his City and Guilds Level 2 Apprenticeship in mechanised print finishing and binding.

Matt comments:  “I was required to create “storyboards” of how we undertake each of the key functions to ensure we consistently produce a top quality die cut off our presses. I also had to demonstrate a broader knowledge of my working environment and industry in the future”

Ken Budgen adds: “I am delighted Matt has been successful and demonstrates our long term commitment to developing a skilled workforce into the future to create top quality displays”
