Coca-Cola: UEFA EURO 2016close

Overview

Coca-Cola regularly comes to Wilmot-Budgen  for creative ideas to promote their  new campaigns. On this occasion the campaign linked in with their sponsorship of UEFA Euro 2016.

Coca-Cola supplied us with their existing brand elements for the campaign and tasked us to create a  variety of different creative POS items.

Wilmot-Budgen worked together from the start of the project to find the best way of carrying the campaign across a wide variety of units from design and structural engineering to production.

Our involvement

The images below show concept work we generated for Coca-Cola’s Euro 2016 campaign. Our job was to create innovative structural design that would be achievable with our cardboard expertise.

We then applied a combination of supplied assets and our own designs to the structures to bring the visuals to life.

United Biscuitsclose

Overview

We have worked closely with United Biscuits on a number of projects for many of their sub-brands. We’re often asked to create a wide range of POS options for them which range from concept work for new product launches to seasonal promotions.

Working at the concept stage of the design process gave us free rein to adapt existing branding elements and create supporting elements which highlighted aspects of specific promotions.

Our involvement

Many of the projects we work on for United Biscuits involve us in creating original design assets for each sub-brand.

Working this way with the client allows us to enhance their original branding and gives us the opportunity to present a wide range of creative POS concepts.

Between the two studios at Wilmot-Budgen we can offer the client a full design service. Our in-house skill set allows us to work on initial concepts right through to final production artwork.

L’Oréalclose

Overview

Working with L’Oréal and all their sub-brands gives us extensive experience in artworking. Taking assets from a press ad, we are able to rework them to create point of sale with the same look and feel.

Taking into consideration retailer guidelines, we can then adapt the design to hotspots, FSUs, gondola ends, trays, blips, large format posters and leaflets.

The images below give a small sample of the L’Oréal True match campaign produced together with the L’Oréal marketing team.

Our involvement

Our experience in structural and graphic design allowed us to first produce the 3D structure and white prototypes and then make small amendments to create a cohesive design.

Both our structural and graphic design team kept in close contact with the client throughout the process allowing for a smooth and efficient design process.

Techniques used

  • 3D structural design
  • 3D visualisation
  • Prototyping
  • Graphic design
  • Artworking
  • Adapting artwork across 2D & 3D

Garnierclose

Overview

This project was briefed to us from Garnier’s marketing department and required us to re-brand.

Garnier wanted to make the AS brand instantly recognisable against rival brands in-store, so our design team created additional brand elements which complimented the existing AS logo and then carried the new branding across various POS items.

The final designs were used across in both above and below the line marketing campaigns.

Our involvement

Our design team created initial concept ideas for the branding project and presented these ideas to the Garnier marketing team.

Once a chosen branding route had been chosen we then developed it further and applied it to various POS items. The concepts were then presented to the Garnier team before the final designs were then rolled out across all POS items and the new branding elements were sent out to various design agencies as a brand pack.

OurVodkaclose

Overview

OurVodka asked Wilmot-Budgen to create various creative POS and direct marketing concepts for their London franchise.

The brief was open and the only elements supplied by the client included a brand pack with their logo and bottle labels.ed

Concept work was displayed in a presentation and pitched to OurVodka by the Wilmot-Budgen design team at the client’s London distillery.

Our involvement

Both the structural and graphic design teams were involved with the project from the start.

We created all the structural design elements for the project from scratch. Various POS and DM items were developed for the project and the graphic design team then worked on adapting the existing branding and carried this across the whole campaign.

Our graphic design team also created a selection of illustrations which tied in with the existing branding.

The illustrations were then used on specific POS units.

Twining’s Pre Fill Unitclose

The challenge

To design an FSDU to meet specific retailer guidelines for Morrison’s. The unit needed to be shipped out pre filled with a range of Twinning’s tea.

The Solution

The unit was designed to fit within the allocated Morrison’s footprint. The packaging and FSDU itself was designed to withstand its journey through the supply chain fully loaded and arrive at its final destination in pristine condition.

The Results

Effective artwork reflecting T.V and press adds made for easy recognition of the stand in store and was complemented by a simple offer message.

Wella Oil Reflections FSDUclose

The challenge

To design a Wella Oil Reflections FSDU that would enhance the light reflecting packaging. The unit must display the hair care product and have enough stock for shoppers to shop from. Also, the unit was to be produced to take up as small footprint as possible.

The Solution

Wilmot Budgen printed a bronze glow on silver Mirri board to recreate the light reflecting packaging. This was printed in 5 colours and finished with a UV varnish. The Wella Oil Reflections bottle was designed to sit at the top of the unit whilst the sides of the stands were die-cut to replicate the shape of the bottle. The shelves are built to hold up to 72 bottles of the Wella product and can be shopped from both sides.

The Results

As the unit was designed to be robust and fit within a small footprint it was able to stand the test of time in small independent wholesalers across the country. The mirri effect printing and the shape gave maximum stand out in store.

Coca-Cola World Cupclose

The challenge

Coca-Cola World Cup point of sale was to be produced by Wilmot Budgen for various retailer outlets. The range had to be designed to hold the iconic Coca-Cola bottle and celebrate the 2014 World Cup held in Brazil. Due to the scale of the campaign POS items varied in size and quantity to suit retailers’ needs.

The Solution

Units were produced using both digital and litho techniques.

The Results

Despite the different print techniques used to produce the diverse range point of sale the print quality remains high throughout, successfully creating brand continuity through the Coca-Cola campaign. Using these techniques allowed unit cost to be controlled and maximised ROI.
