The Opportunity
This is a brilliant opportunity for a motivated school leaver or young person looking to launch their career in a creative and fast-paced industry supporting major retail brands.
As a Business Administration Apprentice, you'll have a key role in both the client experience at Wilmot-Budgen to help ensure our clients receive the outstanding service they expect from us, as well as using and maintaining the critical management system software that supports our manufacturing system.
You'll earn £20,500 — well above the apprenticeship minimum wage — while working towards a nationally recognised Business Administration Apprentice qualification.
What You'll Be Doing
• First point of contact for clients across phone, email and in person
• Supporting the account management team with briefs, quotes and order queries
• Coordinating with internal teams to track jobs and manage client expectations
• Keeping client records and orders accurate and up to date
• Resolving client queries professionally and efficiently
• Producing business documents including emails, letters, reports and proposals
• Managing databases and filing systems
• Using IT systems including Microsoft Office for day-to-day tasks
• Supporting the coordination of meetings, events and internal projects
• Assisting with financial admin including data entry and processing quotes
• Gathering and acting on customer feedback to improve service
• Supporting sales administration and reporting
• Building strong relationships with new and existing clients
What We're Looking For
• A confident, friendly communicator who enjoys working with people
• Strong attention to detail — our clients have high standards, and so do we
• Organised and able to juggle multiple tasks and deadlines
• A positive, proactive attitude with a genuine desire to learn
• Interest in print, design, retail or manufacturing is a bonus
• GCSEs in English and Maths at Grade 4 (C) or above
No prior experience in print or customer service is required — we will provide comprehensive training on our products, clients, processes and systems.

The Apprenticeship
This role is delivered as a Level 3 Business Administration Apprenticeship. You will spend at least 20% of your working hours in structured off-the-job training, working towards your qualification with the BPIF. (British Printing Industries Federation) The programme lasts approximately 18 months and concludes with an End Point Assessment.
